About Tess

The tea table, in my experience, is one of the most serious places in the world. Not solemn — serious. The way a spell is serious. You set it correctly, and something happens that wouldn't have happened otherwise.

I started hosting dress-up tea parties for my daughters and realized quickly that most of what was available — the kits, the printables, the little accessories — missed the point. They were cute. They were not enchanted.

Tess's Tea Time exists because the right kit changes everything. When the sashes are the right weight, when the invitation looks like it arrived by owl, when the favor bags feel like they were packed in a tower — children step into the world. That's the only thing I'm interested in.

Everything I recommend here has been tested at an actual table. Sometimes my table. Sometimes a friend's garden. Some of the links are affiliate links and earn a small commission. That doesn't change what earns a place on the list.

If you want the deeper layer — the planning notes I write before a party, the themes I'm building out this season, the things I've found that haven't made it to the public site yet — that's the Enchanted Circle.
